Summary:
From Tokyopop:
For the first 14 years of his life, Yukio Tanaka has been one heck of a boring guy. He has no hobbies, weak taste in music, and only a small vestige of a personality. He yearns for an exciting life, but his shy, and somewhat neurotic personality makes him his own worst enemy. Little does he know that his life will be forever changed when he meets Ryusuke Minami, a wild and unpredictable 16-year old fresh from America, who happens to be in a rock-and-roll band named after his Frankenstein-like patched dog--Beck.

The first time I've seen the anime was 4 years ago. Since then I've always wanted to read the manga, but didn't had quite the time, and I thought that it had the same story as the anime. Wrong!!! It had so many details that I was stuned. The manga covers where one of those things . Harold Sakuishi made a combination between Beck characters and real life cd covers(e.g. Pearl Jam,Red Hot Chili Peppers,Nirvana,AC/DC,Patti Smith,Beastie Boys etc.)and the movie Lost Highways. For me it's a manga that everyone must read.

This manga is about a boy who happens to walk into the world of music. Along the way he finds friends, enemies and love. It shows how events can unfold and what hope and perseverance can open the way to. Story is good since it shows all the ups and downs life can throw at you and definitely will.
